Parent Support Advisor– Mrs. Claire Minchell

In my role as the Parent Support Advisor,  I am trained to provide support, guidance and advice to parents and carers on any issues that may affect their children and their ability to reach their potential in school. These may range from a small concern about homework to a major worry such as difficult behaviour. I work in partnership with parents,  teachers and other professionals.

 My aim is also to promote positive relationships between school and home and provide activities that involve parents and carers.

 I am available on an informal basis at the beginning and end of the school day to chat and provide a listening ear.  Or alternatively,  I can offer planned times to suit parents. If this is required parents may leave a message for me at reception.

 I have access to information about all agencies offering services to children and families and I can signpost to them. Alternatively, I may be able to offer support in school.
